Introducing XcheatED :
XcheatED is a very powerful cheat code manager which makes it possible to to easily create and
maintain large collections of PlayStation Xplorer, Xploder, GameShark, Pro Action Replay, etc.
compatible game cheat codes.
XcheatED works with the Xplorer/Xploder (TXT) file format and it's own XCC file format which
allows some extra features. GameShark and Action Replay files (TXT) are also supported via
the flexible import and export features.
One of XcheatED most powerful features is the "Export To HTML Document" feature which makes
it possible to easily generate a web page directly from XcheatED - this is useful if you want to
publish your own cheat collection on the internet or just want to make a nice printout.
XcheatED is a 32bit freeware utility and runs on Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0
Using XcheatED with Xplorer/Xploder cartridges :
The Xplorer (called Xploder in some countries) is a great PlayStation cheat cartridge from FCD
(Future Console Design) which is fully compatible with GameShark/Action Replay cheat codes.
The X-Link software (also by FCD) makes possible, among many other things, to download and
upload game cheats from a PC to the Xplorer/Xploder cartridge using only a standard parallel
extension cable as additional hardware.

Or visit Xplorer International Code Creators Club (XICCC) at http://xiccc.hydraquest.com
X-Link uses a file called XCHEATS.TXT to upload or download cheat codes from the Xplorer
cheat cartridge. The XCHEATS.TXT file is a plain text file which can be edited with a standard
text editor, but this is quite annoying and you have to know how to type in the cheats correctly
or else the X-Link program will not upload - or it might even crash !
This is where XcheatED comes into use - with XcheatED you can open the XCHEATS.TXT
file and add, edit and remove codes from your cheats collection and save the file for X-Link
to upload. XcheatED does NOT download or upload the cheats from the Xplorer cartridge
itself, but instead it makes it possible to edit the code collection with great ease and not
having to worry about entering the codes in the correct format.
You must still use X-Link to upload and download the games cheats to/from the Xplorer.
Using XcheatED with GameShark/Action Replay cartridges :
To use XcheatED with a GameShark or Pro Action Replay cheat cartridge, you can simply import
a GameShark/PAR cheat file (TXT) into XcheatED by using the "Import From Action Replay/
GameShark File". After editing or adding cheats to the collection, you can save the cheat
collection by using the "Export To Action Replay/GameShark File" feature - quite easy !
Full native support for Action Replay/GameShark files are planned for a future version of XcheatED.
